As the weather turns colder, Berliners’ clothing starts shedding colour. Yellow in particular disappears. Which, in my first year in Berlin, imbued my chirpy yellow jumper with a fresh-off-the-boat vibe. Capping that was wearing it on an Ikea shopping trip. In the sea of greys and blacks, it looked like I had added a dose of laundry detergent that had turned my top a wrong shade of yellow from the Ikea staff uniforms. Needless to say, said yellow jumper quickly joined home-confined wearables. ω
